Traveling and learning about other cultures has always been one of my favorite activities. In 2019 I went on a trip with a foundation called School The World. We traveled to a small community in Guatemala where we spent 8 days building a school and playground for the children. During our stay we were able to learn and see what the daily life of the families in the community were like. Their language, how they cook, the way they dress and make their own clothing, and most importantly their values. Going to Guatemala not only taught me about their culture but also about myself. It made me realize how lucky I am for everything I have and made me very grateful.
